Malus domestica 'Red McIntosh' - Red McIntosh Apple (Semi-dwarf)

Red McIntosh Apple (Malus domestica 'Red McIntosh') is a variety of apple. Med red fruit, mild sweet flavor, long storage life, ripens mid season. It matures at about 12 to 15 feet tall and 12 to 15 feet wide with a rounded habit and a medium growth rate. Plant in full sun with average to moist soil moisture. Most apples need a different apple or crabapple variety blooming nearby for good pollination. It is grown on semi-dwarf rootstock for a smaller tree that is easier to manage and harvest. Hardy to USDA Zone 5a.
