Malus domestica 'Red Delicious' - Red Delicious Apple (Semi-dwarf)

Red Delicious Apple (Malus domestica 'Red Delicious') is a variety of apple. Med-large red fruit, extra crunchy, mild sweet flavor, long storage life, ripens mid season. It matures at about 12 to 15 feet tall and 12 to 15 feet wide with a rounded habit and a medium growth rate. Plant in full sun with average to moist soil moisture. Most apples need a different apple or crabapple variety blooming nearby for good pollination. It is grown on semi-dwarf rootstock for a smaller tree that is easier to manage and harvest. Hardy to USDA Zone 5a.
