Symphyotrichum dumosum 'Wood's Blue' - Wood's Blue Bushy Aster

Wood's Blue Bushy Aster (Symphyotrichum dumosum 'Wood's Blue') is a compact selection of a North American native aster. It forms a neat, low mound about 12 to 18 inches tall that is covered with lavender-blue, yellow-centered daisy flowers from late summer into fall, providing late nectar for bees and butterflies. Its small size makes it well suited to the front of a border, edging and containers. Grows best in full sun and well-drained, average soil. Hardy in USDA Zones 4 to 8.
