Acer circinatum - Vine Maple

Price

$199.99

Vine Maple (Acer circinatum) is a deciduous small tree or large shrub native to moist woods and stream banks from British Columbia to northern California. It usually grows 10 to 25 feet tall and 15 to 20 feet wide, with several stems that stay upright and dense in sun and take on a more open, horizontal habit in shade. The nearly round leaves have 7 to 9 lobes and turn red, orange and yellow in fall, with the strongest color in sun. Small spring flowers are followed by red winged seeds. Grow it in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil in part shade to full sun; it does not tolerate hot, dry conditions. Hardy to USDA Zone 4.
