Plumline's Landscape Supplies

TRIPLE SHRED HARDWOOD BARK MULCH:
Is medium to dark brown - and is aged (not dyed) to that color. The uniform particle size makes it easy to install.

Our bark mulch is an organic product which is constantly decomposing..........and this contributes organic matter and nutrients to your soil more quickly. You are doing your part for the environment by using shredded bark which is a by-product of the timber industry. (The debarking process removes bark from rough cut logs before timbers are cut. We get our bark after it has been aged and ground).

In addition to improving aesthetics in your landscape.................mulch helps to... control weeds,
maintain moisture in the ground, moderate soil temperatures & prevent erosion.

SIFTED TOPSOIL :
Is collected from the uppermost layer of soil which is then screened.

POC:
(Processed Organic Compost) pronounced "pock" -This high quality product is rich in organic matter and plant nutrients and the slow release nature of the compost nutrients make them less susceptible to loss through leeching than conventional chemical fertilizers. It is a mixture of hardwood sawdust and high quality bio-solids. the composting process penetrates enough heat to essentially pasteurize the product making it free of pathogens and weed seeds.

POC is low in sodium and will not burn.

It is also high in nutrient content and very slow to decompose.

~WHEN BUILDING LANDSCAPE BEDS for trees and shrubs, we like to mix our topsoil with POC -2 parts topsoil to 1 part POC.

~WHEN INSTALLING LAWNS, we like to mix our topsoil with 3 parts topsoil to 1 part POC.

~WHEN PLANTING VEGETABLES and FLOWERS, we like to mix our topsoil with 2 parts topsoil to 1 part POC.

MUSHROOM MANURE:
Comes straight from the mushroom farm. Good old fashioned solution for improving poor soil. Use mushroom manure as a top-dressing when seeding lawns..............just toss with a pitchfork to obtain a thin layer over seed. Manure is also a great as a thin top-dressing when planting groundcovers and annuals. Remember...............annuals and most groundcovers prefer mushroom manure over bark mulch.
